Come sew a fun and practical coffee cup sleeve/drink cozy. Learn some new stitches as you create an everyday useful item. The coffee cup sleeve is made with wool/rayon felt and is lined with a fabric called Insul-Bright, that helps to keep things hot or cold. The sleeve also has an old Rochester logo that has been transferred onto the felt fabric to create a patch.
Christina Selian launched her craft business, Felt Queen, in 2000. The business began as a passion for creating costumes and playthings for her own children. Her work has been seen locally at Craft Company No. 6, Moonflower Handcrafted Gallery, Metro Justice Alternative Fair and Clothesline Arts Festival. A self-taught artist, Christina works exclusively in wool felt, where each item created is individually designed, hand crafted and hand sewn. Her work has expanded to include whimsical, yet practical, accessories for home and personal use. Thinking of the next generation of craftspeople and artists, Christina tries to encourage and inspire creative sewing with her series of children’s sewing kits for all ages. In 2010 Christina began teaching children’s sewing and craft classes.
